General Terms
Only one account can be created per person
You must be over the age of 18
Information provided when opening an Account must be true, accurate and complete and an Account is not being opened for anyone else
A valid email address must remain current and contact details kept up to date
You will keep your Account details confidential and secure
All puppies must be at least 8 weeks of age before they leave their mother
Adverts must be posted in the correct category and disclose its full breed. If the pet is a cross breed that must be stated clearly in your description and advertised in the mixed breed category
Images uploaded must be of your dogs or puppies and not taken from another source
All members must avoid negative messages when communicating with others on the website
All members must obtain any relevant licenses issued by the Local Authority enabling you to carry out your business and enter license numbers in the relevant fields
A correct full address must be verified before placing an advert
You will not share your Account with anyone, or advertise puppies on your account on behalf of other people
We have the right to cancel any Advert with immediate effect if we suspect any terms and conditions have been broken
Ethical Breeding
All breeders and users who register on Trusted Pups must accept and abide by our ethical breeding policy.
Breeders & owners:
Will properly house, feed, water and exercise all dogs under their care and arrange for appropriate veterinary attention if, and when required
Will agree not to breed from a dog or bitch which could be in any way harmful to the dog or to the breed
Will only sell dogs where there is a reasonable expectation of a happy and healthy life and will help with the rehoming of a dog if the initial circumstances change
Will supply written details of all dietary requirements and give guidance concerning responsible ownership when placing dogs in a new home
Will not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed nor falsely advertise dogs nor mislead any person regarding the health or quality of a dog
Will not create demand for, nor supply, puppies that have been docked illegally
Will abide by all aspects of the Animal Welfare Act
Trusted Pups will not allow a breeder to advertise/produce a litter if:
The dam has already whelped four litters.
The dam has already reached the age of 8 years at the date of whelping
The dam was under one year old at the time of mating.
Breach of these provisions may result in termination of subscription on Trusted Pups and/or disciplinary action and/or reporting to the relevant authorities for legal action, as appropriate.
Deposits
A non-refundable service charge is collected whenever a deposit is paid, this is calculated at 0.25% of the deposit amount + £7.95.
Deposits paid through our deposit service cannot be actioned (refunded or released) for up to one day whilst the payment is cleared.
If a buyer decides not to go ahead with purchasing a puppy, when refunding the deposit a portion of the deposit value will be retained by the breeder depending on how far away the puppy leave date is:
Less than 1 week: Breeders will receive 100% of the deposit payment
1 - 2 weeks: Breeders will receive 75% of the deposit payment
2 - 4 weeks: Breeders will receive 50% of the deposit payment
More than 4 weeks: 100% of deposit is returned to the buyer
Any deposits which are cancelled by the breeder will issue a 100% refund (excluding service charge) to the buyer regardless of the puppy age.

Deposits must be completed within 60 days of the original payment. Any deposit payments outstanding after 60 days are automatically transferred to the breeder.
Trusted Pups cannot control nor be held responsible for any payments sent or requested outside of the Trusted Pups platform.
We would like to remind all users to ensure thorough checks have been carried out before requesting or sending a deposit.
